Ellie & Abbie (& Ellie’s Dead Aunt)

School captain Ellie is seriously crushing on her rebellious classmate Abbie. Determined to ask her first love to the formal, Ellie devises a plan to go public with the invitation, but before she can go through with it, her dead aunt Tara reappears from beyond the grave. Believing she’s been brought back from the dead to be Ellie’s fairy godmother, Tara dishes out unwanted dating advice based on her life as an out lesbian in the 80s. Ellie & Abbie is an endearing and heartfelt romantic comedy that appeals to all generations and genders by bundling humor, heart and history into a beautifully crafted narrative.  You can watch the trailer here.

Ellie & Abbie (& Ellie’s Dead Aunt)  is our sixth film screening of our new A-List Film Series. This film was selected by TIGLFF Festival Manager Renee Cossette.

The film will be screened at Green Light Cinema (221 2nd Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701) on Sunday, July 17 at 3:00pm (for IN-PERSON TICKETS please click here).  This film is only available from TIGLFF as an in-person screening.
