President
Kayden Rodriguez (they/them or he/him) is a community organizer, therapist, and advocate committed to queer liberation through storytelling, mental health, and cultural expression. Originally from Texas, Kayden found their chosen family in Tampa while studying digital art at The University of Tampa. Their leadership with UTampa Pride sparked a lifelong passion for merging creative work with LGBTQ+ advocacy, eventually leading them to earn a Master of Social Work.
Kayden now works as a trauma-informed therapist across multiple agencies and organizes with trans-led groups like Swamp Bois. Their work centers affirmation, accessibility, and intersectional care—values they also bring to their role as President of the Board for the Tampa Bay International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (TIGLFF).
A board member since 2020 and elected President in 2024, Kayden is dedicated to uplifting queer and trans voices through film, representation, and joyful gathering. Outside of work or volunteering, they enjoy live music, beach days, and spending time with friends.
