Kayden Rodriguez (they/them or he/him) is a 26 year old transmasculine individual. Raised in Texas, he has found his LGBTQ+ home & family in Tampa, Florida by attending The University of Tampa in 2012.
With original intentions to become an animator for Pixar, he majored in Digital Art. UT’s safe environment took them for a turn, however, as they found passion in merging his media background with LGBTQ+ advocacy during his leadership time with UTampa Pride. Since graduating, he has worked with multiple local LGBTQ+ organizations both as an employee or volunteer, working to educate the LGBTQ+ community & allies alike on the best ways to support each other.
While working part-time on a Masters of Social Work, they also work full-time for The Spring of Tampa Bay, one of the local certified domestic violence centers. As a Prevention Team Advocate, he takes great pride in facilitating the LGBTQ+ Roundtable, the company’s volunteer group focused on advocacy, support, & education of LGBTQ+ domestic violence relationships.
