Why should a talented young man choose between his lifetime dream and the first love of his life? Mario has been working and dreaming toward a career as a professional soccer player. He was well on his way when Leon walked into his life. Leon is beautiful and a talented player, in his own right. And he is willing to take the risk of bringing Mario out of the closet and into his arms. After their first night together, Mario dives deeper into the closet, while Leon claws his way out. Soon, the politics of professional sports creeps its way into Mario’s life and, while he is finally getting his lifelong dream, his heart is breaking at the most important moment in his life. Marcel Gisler’s direction allows the story to build organically to a moving interplay between what the heart wants and what the souls needs. Mario must find his way to keeping both in play. (SH)
