We just watch as high school seniors do what high school seniors are supposed to do. Fall in and out of love, fight with their friends and try to figure out those raging hormones that make them crazy. Underneath all of that drama is the story of young women navigating her way through the confusing bliss that is being seventeen. The same-sex drama is no drama at all – it’s just youth figuring out the ways of the heart – girls or boys, no big deal. Filmmaker, Monja Arts says Seventeen is about a fascinating time in our lives, “because you are aware of the fact that you will never be able to go back.
