Diego Leon

Since Diego Leon (he/him) moved to the US in 2014, he has always known that he wanted to impact his community and the film Industry. As part of his ambition, he joins the TIGLFF board with experience in Marketing, Directing, and Producing. Diego attended the University of Central Florida, where he studied Human Communications and Film before graduating in 2023. During college, he started working as a cinematographer for weddings and music videos while also taking courses on editing, scriptwriting, and broadcasting. From the emotions transmitted in a movie to the complex process of creating visual media, Diego has a passion for film knowledge and even the marketing logistics that come with creating a movie.

Diego believes that TIGLFF is the perfect place to give the community a voice in the film and art world. From events, screenings, and festivals, Diego finds different ways to engage new audiences and give visibility to the queer community through our organization. His marketing skills bring a new cultural perspective to the team that endeavors new a generation of film markers. Overall, Diego finds a sense of responsibility and joy when taking on this role and commits to the joy of his community.
