Mambo Italiano
Angelo Barberini is the oddball son of Italian immigrants Gino and Maria. Angelo shocks his parents by moving out on his own without getting married, and shocks them further still when he reveals that he’s gay. But his boyfriend, policeman Nino Paventi isn’t as ready to come out of the closet — especially not to his busybody mother, Lina. (capsule by Shannon Patrick Sullivan)
NOTE 1: What happened to Trick? Trick is only available on DVD. Unfortunately the DVD that arrived was old and has scratches. The first test run went well, but all subsequent tests have had glitches and were unable to play. Mambo Italiano is being substituted as an alternate comedy film starting an incredible cast including Luke Kirby (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Peter Miller (District 31), and Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas, Nixon).
NOTE 2: The ticket link may still say Trick, but the film is Mambo Italiano

“We wanted to pick a film that many of us grew up with to start off the year. We wanted a nostalgic film that was lighthearted and fun and this film that portrays a young New York guy falling for a dancer and finding his confidence seemed right!!” — The Knights of the Krewe of Cavaliers
