Rachel is a nice girl who is going to marry Hector (‘Heck’), her longtime boyfriend. While she is working on the wedding preparations she meets wedding-florist Luce and unexpectedly falls in love with her and discovers what having love feelings for another woman is like. Rachel meets Luce a few times, hiding it from her family, especially her mother Tessa who contracted Luce. At the same time Heck tries to win his in-laws’ affections, especially father-in-law Ned, Rachel embarks on marriage and daily life with her husband, but her love and passion for Luce causes a secret affair between them and doubts in Rachel about the life she wants for herself. — Chockys

Born and raised in small-town Pennsylvania, Marisa (she/her) came out to her amazingly accepting family at 16 years old, after some inspiration from the show Glee. At 18 she moved to Tampa Bay to attend the University of Tampa where she found her first queer community. During her time there she attended her first TIGLFF event as a volunteer in 2013. After attending as a supporter for many years, she joined the board in 2021.

One of the first movies to play in theaters where it felt truly okay to be queer and to just have a cute cheesy romance, where no one dies or runs off to be straight again. It is timeless and still one of the best lesbian movies out there.”
